My story on the Peruvian artist Antonio Olave Palomino is in the current (August 2015) issue of Porthole Cruise Magazine, for the “Artisan of the World” column.   http://www.porthole.com/artisans-of-the-world-antonio-olave/

Mr. Olave, who lives in Cusco’s artist-filled San Blas district, is well known in his country.  He sculpts figurines of the Jesus child he calls “El Niño Manuelito,” and figurines and pottery in traditional Inca designs. “We preserve the old ways, making ceramics like the Incas,” he says.  “We use the same materials and colors extracted from nature.”
